This was highlighted in the Year 2009, when the Group invested in a $5 million project to recycle paper in Fiji.
South Pacific Waste Recyclers is Fiji’s first paper recycling plant set up to reduce pollution in our environment.
The main aim of this company is to encourage recycling for a cleaner, greener Fiji.
On a 24-hour cycle, the company processes some 10 tonnes of unused paper and converts it into 7 tonnes of good paper which is then used to manufacture Toilet Tissues.
The company is situated in a location where it is easy for people to drop their waste paper should they wish to give it for recycling. It currently operates 24 hours at 5 days a week

With vast kava farmers in their fold, they are proud to be in a great partnership, providing their services to more than 1000 kava households in their province of Cakaudrove in the North of Fiji. Green Gold Kava, has recently embarked upon a new kava facility, hence they will be producing kava for pharmaceutical purposes.

Sonam Sapra, the owner and designer, is a highly regarded, expert textile designer from Fiji who found her beginnings as a student of Parsons, the New School for Design in New York.
Sonam has since launched a textile design business committed to promoting Fiji’s Vanua (land and people) and culture, employing fashion as her vehicle. Her hand-drawn and digitally printed fabrics are showcased as raw fabric and resort-wear fashion pieces in her boutique at Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa, Denarau Island.
Her designs are exclusive prints and digitally printed designs on silk cotton, organic cotton fabrics, and retail resort/relax wear for international customers visiting Fiji. She also designs sustainable kids’ clothes and fashion accessories from her wearable art fabric offcuts.

Happy Valley Exports is a family owned business which was established in 2013. We are born farmers and based in the Salad Bowl of Fiji, Bilalevu, Valley Road, Sigatoka with more than 40
years of farming experience.
We specialize in exports of fresh and frozen vegetables, Kava and spices to New Zealand, Australia, Canada and USA. Our current capacity for delivery is 1 – 2 tonnes per shipment with
capacity to increase.
Majority of vegetables are grown on our 20 acres of farm here in the Valley Road. Processing is done to the highest standards in our own packing shed. All vegetables quality is monitored by storing in temperature controlled coolers – fresh vegetables and freezers for frozen vegetables.
The packing and processing process is monitored under the international Commodity trade standards by The Biosecurity Authority of Fiji. Packaging for all frozen items are currently done in clear 6 * 10 bags with sticker labelling. However, customized product packaging can be arranged to suite buyer requirements.

Foreign auditors inspect their organic production regularly to assess the organic compliance.

Hupfeld Hoerder is an internationally acclaimed fashion designer whose desire to make a difference goes far beyond the beautiful garments he creates.
Born and raised in Fiji, the self-taught designer has worked in the fashion industry for over twenty-five years.
With his designs inspired by fibres and natural resources from the Pacific, an interest in sustainable production led him to apply for the Fashioning Fiji project and scholarship program.
Among the recent accolades, his work was recognised at the Pacific Islands Forum with Prime Ministers Anthony Albanese and Jacinda Ardern among the leaders from across the region who wore his custom designs.

JIANA AND ME – a social enterprise targeted at empowering women and youth in Fiji and bridging the economic gap between our rural and urban centers whilst keeping our earth and environment at the heart of it all.
The company source all their raw materials from the Highlands of Naitasiri, the island of Taveuni, Savusavu in Vanualevu and the islands in the Lau Group. They currently employ a total of 12 women and 2 youths.
