Earlier this week, the Fiji Consulate General & Trade Commission, Australia & New Zealand, supported the Fiji High Commission, Wellington by attending a number of events in Auckland as part of Fiji’s Prime Minister Hon Rabuka’s first official visit to Aotearoa New Zealand.
The Office joined the official delegation at the Mahatma Gandhi Centre where PM was honoured by a traditional welcome ceremony performed by the Fijian diaspora living in Auckland.
The team also participated in the New Zealand-Fiji Business Council breakfast at the Cordis Hotel where PM addressed over 80 representatives from the private sector.
Finally, the New Zealand Institute of International Affairs, Auckland Branch invited PM Hon Rabuka to deliver a keynote speech at the #nziia2023 ‘International Solutions: New Zealand’s Place in a Troubled World’. New Zealand’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Hon Nanaia Mahuta and US Assistant Secretary of State Mr Daniel Kritenbrink were also keynote speakers at the event.
