The Fiji Consulate General and Trade Commission to Australia and New Zealand was proud to host a farewell event for Fiji’s former High Commissioner to Australia, His Excellency Yogesh Punja. The event took place at Old Government House, Parramatta on Friday 15th June and accommodated 150 guests from the Fijian diaspora, the Australian government, the diplomatic corps and the business community.

As well as congratulating H.E Punja on his many achievements and contributions to Fiji and Australia, the event also proved a valuable opportunity to showcase Fiji’s cultural and business offerings through traditional Meke dance performances, audiovisual presentations and speeches from Fijian and Australian government representatives. Attendees enjoyed networking in a relaxed and festive environment.

The Fiji Consulate General and Trade Commission wishes H.E Punja all the very best for his next posting in India and thanks him for his efforts as High Commissioner. The Consulate also wishes to thank all attendees for joining us to celebrate this important occasion.
